Kelly founded Reinhart in 2002. At that very moment, he also made a personal commitment to change the way accounting was done. Tired of the pressures, stereotypes, and hourly-based relationships that come with being an accountant, Kelly set out to build a company that was based on genuine, personal connections.
Billion-dollar companies or fledgling franchises, nationally renowned developers, entertainers, or local nonprofits – if you asked his clients why they stick with him, they’re likely to reference more about their lives than their financial services. That’s because Kelly is an entrepreneur at heart and takes each client’s dreams as a personal challenge. Kelly has stood side-by-side with clients as they’ve launched their start-up or prepared to sell the business they’ve spent a lifetime building. He’s coached them through transitions, encouraging sound choices and flexible services hand-tailored to their unique needs. All the while, doing what accountants do: managing partnerships, C and S corporations, limited liability companies, trusts and estates, consolidated and multistate tax returns, mergers, acquisitions, and more.
Kelly is the driving force behind consulting services, tax strategies, and mergers and acquisitions. He brings his experience and out-of-the-box approaches to real, everyday business challenges. He teamed with Reneé Gerard to complete the management team and bring his vision to fruition and can be seen in the trenches working alongside the team every day. Kelly is a certified public accountant in New York and Colorado.
Before founding Reinhart (originally located in Colorado), he worked as a tax manager at KPMG, one of the largest CPA firms in the world, as well as the tax director of a well-respected regional firm in Denver, Colorado. Kelly attended the University of New Mexico and the highly respected University of Denver Graduate Tax Program.
